Well, the holiday season is upon us, which means it's time to spend time with family, bring joy through giving gifts to our loved ones, and watch Santa Claus murder hapless teenage victims. That's right, we're celebrating Christmas horror with 80's cult classic SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT!
We open up with our FIRST CHOP. Tim made significant headway on his backlog project, and we have a good time discussing the wide variety of films he watched. Brian is neck deep in DVDs, but there is a method to his madness!
Then we take a look at some of the fantastic Blu-ray releases coming this week, including a collector's edition of our featured film!
Finally it's time to discuss the dark and slyly comedic SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT. It may be hard to believe today, but this film was hugely controversial upon release and even pulled from some theaters. Some folks just didn't like the idea of a murderous St. Nick! So grab a glass of eggnog, come sit by the fire with us, and let's figure out what makes this curious slice of Christmas horror so compelling!
